inspired by Walking on the Moon at Connie Shade’s blog.
Monday, moon-day, a hemi-circle rose high
and carried the evening’s sundog
above, a ring-around-the-moon.
While walking the night dogs
my eyes adjust, and the spectrum appears
in darkened hues.
I follow Luna’s crooked lines
shadows painted on gravel
serenaded by singing frogs.
Really, really lovely!
I also love the ‘rays’ from the moon.
I miss hearing peepers. They were very much a part of where I grew up.
Love this, Patrise! The Moon is an awesome muse!
