SeriousHealth Business

I’m morbidly obese. I’ve tried every diet and food plan known. Sometimes I’m successful, for a while.

I’m unable to walk now, due to degenerating bones in my right knee, and at 63 I’m getting worried about an early departure.

So starting today, this blog will chronicle my journey forward into diet, fitness, health, aging, and of course, food & eating.

  1. Hello Patrise,
Of course, you would write your way through what is most compelling and need of exploration. Your openness inspires me. I’m not sure I’d be as graceful about facing/dealing with a changing body. I will share with you what I tell myself (and friends who are like-minded): Talk, think, make lists, about what I can (still) do. That’s still a pretty long list, right???? And I assume you continue to paint? Do you paint your pain? I somehow don’t think so. The art I remember (I wanted to buy a piece as a wedding gift for my son & fiancé) was so lush!

    All my best,
    Sharon
